Waroona Historical Society and Museum

The Waroona Historical Society was formed in the early 1980's.

Our Mission is to:

Research and preserve the historical memorabilia of the Waroona (previously Drakesbrook) region, from the date of settlement to present day.
Collect, interpret & display items and stories of historical interest, including photographs, memorabilia, maps, oral histories and original documents relating to Waroona’s history.
Provide a focal point for the local community and visitors to explore Waroona’s heritage and to foster a sense of pride in Waroona’s multicultural and unique history.

The museum is open on Sunday from 10am until 12 noon (subject to volunteer availability) or by prior appointment at any other time of the week. If you are making a special visit to the museum, please phone ahead to make sure that someone will be there to assist you.  Phone contact 041 770 5966.
